I think this needs...

I don't really know why, but I'm feeling a green teddy bear. You don't even have to like animate it or anything, just have it wiggle around and stuff. Yeah, then it'll be ace.

4/5

Really great colors and backgrounds. Very fun and loose. Also...Mr. Bungle! Nice music choice.

Where this really lacks is in the design and animation of the characters. The designs seem to be more style than substance. They are flat, geometric, uniform lines, etc, that is not at all well suited for animation. I had to watch this a couple of times to really know what was happening/what the characters looked like. Basically you need to make descriptive silhouettes with alot of negative space. Right now you have everything in tight forms that is not easily understandable.

The character animation is decent, but not nearly as good as your color/bgs. Just not alot of the principles or descriptive posing.

I'm being so tough on you because you've got talent and drive. This is a great piece of work any way you look at it. It's getting favorited. I just don't really see a strong foundation on which this was built. I'd recommend John K's blog (http://johnkstuff.blogspot.com/) for learning classical animation techniques/principles. Keep up the great work.

Well made, but lacks focus

I really like how you have so many different types of animation and characters on the screen at once. Its definitely compelling how each character has his own origin. The animation is also pretty good especially with a nice sense of weight in the inkmans birth. The art is alright, I didn't really like the paper man, just seemed really bland and a forced style, but the rest was good.

My criticism is that this lacks focus at all. As an experimental piece its cool, but thats it really. With a little more effort you could have a much more lasting movie. Its still fun to watch and creative, just maybe could be better (but what can't).

Anyway, great job, can't wait to see what you'll be doing next.

Amazing

Really awesome. I love the vocals.

One of the best on NGaudio

Wow, I'm very impressed. The slower beginning theme is great, very catchy stuff, and could be its own song.

The metal kicked in perfectly. A very nice set and drops out just in time.

The two themes surprisingly work together so well, especially with the variations you throw in between them. For instance, the second metal segement is so raw, as if the first was conflict on the horizon, the first is facing it and inner struggle.

It is all very well thought out, it is not held down by Metal sterotypes, it is inventive and expressive, and I think it reaches beyond Metal fans to people like me.

When I hear this I think of superheros, as if the slower parts are memories, then it kicks into present, and he struggles with what he is doing, fearing he is losing his past innocence and morality.

This is high on my list of what to animate to; plus it's good listening. I await your next one.

Wow thanks for your great review. I'm glad you liked it...this song took a bit longer then my others to make and is one of my own fav's. Thanks again!

Amazing

You are one of the few NG artists to break out of my "From Internet" folder (ie, go pro).

Your stuff is consistently so varied and original. I cannot comprehend how you arrange your pieces, especially this one which I believe to be your best.

Its fresh, smart, and masterfully made. Not only great for the AudioPortal, but music in general. I especially love the guitar section, as its a great break and could be a fantatic loop itself (hint hint).

Now get working on your next piece! My ears want more!

Thanks Bacon!
